Very nice place. Spent the whole day there and wished I could have stayed 2.
3 tanks and realized how much out of shape I was on the third.
Will definitely go back there again. The first pix is of my Dive buddy from NY
Saturday 9-18-10

Yes, as Jim mentioned some members of DNY are at Dutch Springs every weekend. I love Dutch during the week days. Were you there during the weekend or week day?

Pop by the DNY forum, and I promise we won't bite, maybe a small nibble but no biting. :D

My son and I dove at Dutch yesterday. We had to share the facility with two other divers. Visibility was the best I have seen there.

Wow, I'm jealous!

I'm sure the viz was great without me there to silt it up. ;)

I was there on Saturday. The thing I was most impressed with was the amount of divers getting into the water and once you were down there you would only see one ot two every so often.

Yes, it's a big quarry underwater.

Even at its busiest you'll get clusters of divers at the entry/exit ramps and at the student platforms but will only see a few divers underwater once you're away from the ramps and the platforms.

AWAY FROM THE PLATFORMS?

Is that even possible??? :D

The one Mon before our Fundies class started, we had the pump house area all to ourselves, great viz, huge Koi, fun structures to explore and play in, etc. One of only a couple just for fun dives I have done at DS.

We dive Dutch a lot. Good training ground. I hope you get back there soon. Vis can be very good, except the student side. The students training can kick it up a little, but that's how you learn. As posted, go over to DNY. Great people and great divers.......

Howdy ScubaSam & GypsyJim. Hope to see you guys at the DiveIn this weekend.

Safe diving to you.

You have to come back to Dutch to do the other dives!! The Pump House dive is one of my favorites along with the wall dive.
