Trying to figure out how I could get all my gear to school, look normal and then skip the boring classes to dive. (there's a river right next to the school)

I rememeber being at 95' on my first dive after OW (yeah... not bright) and getting narced for the first time. Had a real dry mouth and thought for a second that I didn't really need my regulator to breathe. As soon as my brain told the muscles to start moving I realized it was a pretty stupid idea and stopped. Rinsed my mouth with saltwater instead, which remains my favorite dry mouth cure.

The funniest though might be the various contraptions a buddy and I schemed up to tumble tanks. One involved pedaling a bicycle to roll the tank, which quickly deteriorated into trying to figure out how many people it'd take pedaling to run an air compressor. We even did the math to see if hiring people to pedal would be cheaper than the electricity... Turns out it isn't.

Heck, dumbest thing I've ever thought about diving is that someday I'd find an intelligent and lovely lady diver to be my ultimate dive buddy.

Getting distracted and forgetting exactly what it was that I had in my mouth, and then taking a nice long breath from my snorkel at a depth of about 5 feet. That is something that I am reasonable sure will NEVER happen again :)

...to stop diving at 50... (oh, that was someone else's dumb thought...)

Last year, I tumbled 8 tanks just like this. I didn't bother to hook up the motor to my DIY tumbler, so I just powered it with my bicycle on a training stand.

First time I went snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef, I was so excited to get in, I forgot to pull my mask down, so I jumped in and wondered why it was so darn blurry, then I remembered, boy did I look stupid, but alas, no worries, it was great
