My buddy uses one and he loves it. He is a highly bouyant individual, so when diving Monterey (2-piece 7mm Henderson) he needs a LOT of weight. A lot of weight makes the integrated weight BC hard to handle and hard to load pouches. He tried a weight belt, but that was a disaster because he has no hips. Once he tried the W&T he is ecstatic. He is able to put a bunch of weight on the hips, supported by the shoulder straps, and that leaves a much more manageable amount in the pouches of the WI BC.

He gives it a big thumbs up.

Kind of ironic I place this post and get a response from Ellensburg. You could have floated the message down the river. Thanks for the comments. Ken :42: PS-Have you checked out Dan Little's One World Watersports down here? I'm just getting to know them but it seems like a pretty active group.

It's a small world out there. I have purchased some gear from One World Watersports and have done AOW, Drysuit, and Nitrox classes with Dan and am planning on doing Rescue in the spring. They are a great group of people and have a pretty large group of regular divers and they do some really great trips. On a related note, I am always looking for a local buddy to drive over the mountains with. I dive with one of my friends from here most of the time, but the more the better! Hope to hear from you!

I love the unit.....makes everything confortable and neat. To be quite honest with you....it is the difference between driving a 1986 Honda Corolla and a Rolls Royce where a "standard" weight belt represents the carolla (LOL). Hope this helps.

It's great. Much more comfortable than a belt, easy to move around with when your out of the water. I would recommend it to everyone.

Thanks everyone for all the great feedback. I think I'll pick one up when I'm ready to climb into the drysuit. Gotta do some warm water diving first though. Thanks again, Ken :42:

I like the comfort, but it looks pretty obnoxious on. Also the excess strap material hangs all over the place.

I dive a BP/Wing and am considering going back to a normal belt or Halcyon's integrated weight pouches.

What do you all do with the excess strap material? It does not look like you can really cut it off, as there are plastic rings on the ends of everyhing. Maybe I have mine sized a bit too big and that is why I have so much excess strap material hanging.

I also love mine for pretty much the same reasons as everyone else, but I feel it's too bulky when worn with a jacket style BC. In my case if I adjust it to hang just below the BC it ruins my trim by causing my legs to hang. Wearing it higher up gives me perfect trim but forces me to wear it under the BC which is not very comfortable. I'm now looking to buy a BP/W to help with this and other problems that I find annoying with a jacket style BC.

Yep. Too manty straps on the body. I use a standard weight belt with half the extra weight I carry, the other half is intergrated (all weight is dumpable).

One of the joys I've discovered in scuba, is the Weight Harness, another is the
Back Plate and Wings, it seems to disappear under water. Mine is the Halcyon 27#,
and works well with my 80CF AL or 95CF ST with a 3mm or 5mm Wetsuit or a Dry.

Where do the weight pounches rest relative to to BP/W waist strap? Are they above it or below it?
