Has anyone managed to trim the blacktip travel by adding weight in the nose and fixed buoyancy at the back, appreciate any advice.

I know of one custom battery which did it. You'd need a significant amount of foam in the back to accomplish the same with PTBs.

Thanks,

It’s not really doable with the power tool batteries. I can sell you a custom 15Ah battery pack that, when combined with a slightly positive T handle, lets you trim out the travel (and also has 25% more capacity than the 12Ah Dewalts). Drop me a message if you’re interested!

Thanks, I use 2 12ah

Yeah, my design mounts a battery pack directly to the nose cone to move the weight further forward.

(Don’t mind the tape, just an engineering prototype.)

Using both supplied weights and fixed buoyancy on the back I managed to get it reasonably trimmed and slightly negative. Excuse the photos, I was in the surge when I remembered to take off the camera and get some photos.
