The reports I got from people that went was that it was a good time. Although we've taken a few shots at DUI in this thread, I still think they make the best drysuits and that this is an important event. So far, I'm glad to hear it went well.

To be fair, Mer, you're right. No one takes as much interest in female tailoring needs as DUI, and Faith definitely knows her onions in that department. No doubt DUI's attention to XX chromosome detail is enhanced by the fact that Susan Long is now in charge.

I'd like to hear more feedback from the event.

A few shots? I don't think anyone here has or had an issue with DUI. More like issues with Faith's idea of good business practices at the event.

I totally agree that the suits are the best. That's why I own two DUI drysuits and will likely buy another one next year.

I guess that explains Susan ordering Dick around last weekend! :D

It was a great event. I got my father in a drysuit for the first time, and we demoed a digital camera. I think my wallet is gonna feel it soon!

The instructors they had their leading non-drysuit certified divers were great! Instructors of all different types: rec, DIR, in singles, in doubles. And they were troopers too... many doing 3-4-5 dives back to backing, spending numerous hours in the water at a stretch.

As for "issues of good business practices," it's the diving industry, I guess I've grown accustomed/conditioned to some sketchiness!!

What about it don't you like? Drag?

I myself am not 100% sold on the ZIP seals yet, but must admit I haven't had very much experience with them. I like the idea, but donning/removing the neck seal was a bit more difficult, and I think the new seals are a potential point of leakage you didn't have to be as careful with before.

Anyone had any experience with them? It will be interesting to get the feedback from those who do go to DOG Days.
I tried out a couple suits at DOG days - the CF200 & the 50/50. The suits both had the ZIP seals. Faith swapped one neck seal out in about 30 seconds for me - my neck is good sized - and it did not leak a drop. Before the tryout I was wary of them - now I may consider it. As far as putting the suit on was concerned - it did not seem to be much more work than the regular neck.
