I was getting pretty excited to go. Turns out that sunday in my gf's birthday, which we wont even be celebrating properly, because we'll be at her old room mates graduation party. I was begining to think I could go on saturday, but my ex-gf invited me to her graduation party(different school) on saturday. I don't see it happening for me, but I hope everyone else has fun.:sigh_2:

Come on, DarkFrog. There will always be other girlfriends, but will there always be DUI Demo Days? :D

If everyone who gets involved in diving keeps hemorrhaging money, I'm sure there will be many more DUI demo days to come.

If one GF finds out that yer spending the day with the other, YOU might be the one hemmoraging!! LOL

Best of luck in pulling THAT one off

a couple years ago when my friends and I went to it here in MA. Right after dinner Faith walked around handing out handfuls of raffle tickets to the volunteers. There were the same tickets that we had paid extra money for. Of all the prizes given out, 1 went to a non-volunteer. Since this didn't seem right, I approached Faith and explained my confusion. Her response was "Next time, volunteer". Bear in mind, I was standing next to my CF200 and my TLS350 (which she knew I owned) so it wasn't like I was some leech looking for freebies :) Just left me with a bad feeling.
I am all for rewarding volunteers. However, making money by selling tickets for prizes you know will only go to volunteers is wrong.

That seems very unfair, guess I won't be buying any tickets.

Also, although they say the demos are from 9-5, they will not give out gear after 2 P.M. so get there before then. A friend of mine made the mistake of showing up at 3 P.M. and was told he could "watch". Boy, the more I think about this, the more I question why I have spent over $3,000 with DUI. Hmmm.......

Same reason I've dropped loads of cash on them - because DUI has and continues to make some of the absolute best drysuits in the world. It's a bit of dancing with the devil, isn't it?

I've known Faith since she was hawking suits for Northeast Scuba (in Danvers, now long-since defunct), and there's always been a level of sketchiness involved. To hear about this raffle scam doesn't surprise me in the least. It's a good thing the local rep Al Morris is such a good guy. If Faith was the one dealing with local shops, I think DUI would have a few less dealers.

Has anyone gone to the Dog Days and tried out the cameras, though?

Politics aside (sigh), Faith does a bang-up job of measuring for the special production (AKA custom) suits.

Hey ladies, especially, if you're thinking of getting a custom suit, getting measured by Faith at DOG days would be a good idea.
