I've been working on the BPW I got from DSS (Torus 26 with Hogarthian harness).

It's taken me about 90 minutes to get this far. I am seeking assistance. I don't think I have the buckle threaded correctly, and I have no idea how to attach the single tank cam strap to the back plate. Finally, I have no idea how to attach the wing/bladder to the backplate.

I have pics of my set up below. I welcome any constructive advice/input/suggestions/corrections you guys (and ladies of course) can offer.

Thanks!!

Dude, you have the BP backwards (ie- harnes is on the wrong side). Let me see if I can find the setup instr. on the DSS site...
Sorry to have to tell you, but unthread the entire thing and start over.
I'll post some pics here in just a min to try and help.

I can't comment on the DSS setup because I do not have one (yet;)). But have you looked at their instructional video and FAQ link? This may help:

https://www.deepseasupply.com/index.php?page=instructions

If you need more, there are plenty of people here that will chime in and help. As I recall, the wing doesn't actually "attach" to the BP for easy disassembly. It is held in place by the tank when you rig everything together.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on this. :D

Good catch! I missed that.

Here is how I have my buckle:

Hope that helps.

EDIT- you will also have to reverse the crotch strap. the d-ring goes on the other side, which will be the outside when you put it on.

If you use the inner tube as described in the instructions, thread a couple on each side while you are rigging it up, rather than just one. That way if one breaks you don't have to unthread the whole thing to get new inner tube pieces onto the chest straps.

For non-DSS plates, there's enough room between the plate slots and the webbing to work the inner tube through the slots and up to the shoulders without rethreading, but the plastic keepers on the DSS plates will make that difficult.

Speaking with Tobin later this morning is the ticket. I suspect you will be best served by disassembling and strating over from the beginning, in order to get to the point where you are ready to install the cam bands, and deal with how the wing should be positioned. Don't feel bad - many of us have ended up doing the same thing when we first tried to set up a BP. As others have noted, the BP is reversed. When correctly positioned, the channel will be closest to your back, not the ridge. I also believe that you are installing bent, rather than straight, D-rings and, if so, they appear to be reversed as well. The D-ring on the crotch strap is actually OK - once the harness on the plate is reversed, that D ring will face 'out'. although the triglide above it is reversed. That isn't a big deal but you will probably want to disassemble and put it on correctly. With Tobin on the phone, you should have no problem getting this set up quickly and correctly.
