So I did a wonderful drift dive last night. First boat dive of the season. It turns out after completing the dive I had a little hitchhiker along for the ride. A honey bee must have landed on me while pulling the 2nd layer of fleece on and been trapped for the duration of the dive. Poor little guy was in my suit for 38 min with a max depth of about 80ftfw. I felt bad for the little fellow as he did not appear to be completly healthy when I found him. He was quite sluggish and I had a very hard time shaking him off my fleece (he was not crushed). One note for everyone who dives dry, take a peek before hand. I mention this because I'm alergic (not to the point I need a depo shot, but it can be bad if stung in the right place, ie throat) to bee stings and this could have turned bad had he stung me. Fortunatly I keep a good squeeze in my suit and I don't think he had the room to get in a good sting. My question I guess is this, is it possible the bee suffered DCS (possibly explaining the post dive behaviour), and is it possible the poor little guy got narced at depth?
