I ordered a Diving Concepts trilam suit. I had to opt for the custom fit. Thanks for all the input from this board.

I also will try Janice at Software for undergarment. Sounds like I'll need the 300 as we dive in Pacific Northwest. She mentioned outside pockets for hands while on the surface. Are there any other "options" anybody would recommend?

Thanks

Good choice on the Diving Concepts trilam suit.

Diving pockets have pro's and con's. I have them and I love mine. I do not use them for my hands, however. I put my hood into the right pocket and my gloves into the left pocket.

The con side is that the pockets increase drag. And it is a drag, a little bit, anyways.

Sorry for the confusion. The pockets I spoke of were hand pockets on the undergarment I'm ordering from Software ( see http://home.att.net/~gchev91/index.htm )

Pockets on the undies are a plus. I keep the red-tip thingie from my inlet valve, my watch and wallet in them. No need to get a locker when on site, or leave my stuff in my divebag when I'm diving dry. Just stuff it in the pockets.

Are you going to use a P-valve sometime in the future? If so, ask for the Uncle Pug special.

I ordered a vest for my wife... added some core warmth when it gets a bit chilly.

Get a couple of extra pairs of Sox... on those 4+ dive days, its nice to step into a pair of dry fluffy sox for the night dives.

That's it. She rocks.

Thanks for the info. No plan to use P-value just yet. I'm going to try the water only (no caffeine) method first and see if that helps. Since I'm new to the game I decided the P-value it was just one more thing to worry about. Mother nature may convince me otherwise.

one LESS thing to worry about...calling a dive short or irrigating your suit are options I'd rather not have to choose between.

OK ... Mother nature ( or cyklon_300 ) may convince me otherwise.

May I ask approximately how much the Diving Concepts Trilam suit cost, with custom fit and all? (That's the UltraFlex Pro, right?) I'm comparing drysuits myself, but can't seem to find any pricing for the Diving Concepts suits.

Thanks!
