Yup it's from the hippie-food store so it should be ok.

In the late 70's/early 80's, Farllon offered a first-stage attachment for this purpose. It screwed into the first stage and you attached the second to that (lengthening the hose length by 5"). You unscrewed a metal plug & o-ring and added distilled water. This increased the humidity of the incoming air and prevented dry-mouth. Of course this was only safe in warm water as it lead to rapid regulator icing in cold water. :)

I found that since I went to a Legend regulator, the comfo bite mouthpiece has essentially eliminated the dry mouth for me.

It seems to stimulate some additional saliva production as well as it has completely eliminated any jaw fatigue I used to get.

I will be adding it to all of my reg sets.
 
anybody recall the SCUDA?

My wife still has 3 of them, stop using it recently
