I have a pair of almost knee high gore-tex socks. I wear normal wool socks underneath. Another plus with this is the knee high gore-tex socks go over the underwear leg and help keep the leg from riding up when you put your leg in the drysuit.
Around our area, the only divers who ever complain about cold feet have drysuits with the soft sock and outer boot option (like DUI Rockboot) Everyone eventually ends up with the HD or hard boot option and then cold feet is never an issue.
