I ordered my dry suit almost a month ago and was told by the LDS that I ordered it from that I still have another 2 weeks to wait. THAT TOTALLY BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!

How is it that these manufacturer's take soooooooo damn long in making a suit? The only thing they had to do with mine is shorten the legs. Aren't they suits made with templates and made by computer?

Or are they hand made, and sticthed and glued? Or is that I'm just acting like a spoiled lil brat waiting for Christmans or birthday gifts? Well.......... I admit it I am. I'm stomping my feet and holding my breath til my suit gets here...:upset:

As you can all saee I'm very upset.:D Thanx for letting me vent.

3 MONTHS?????????? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered the Bare ATR HD. Also got it with a Halcyon p valve and DC dry gloves.

Dan's Dive Shop in Canada. Very nice bunch of guys. They never seem to mind that I call them like every day anf bother them. LOL

Matt and Dan were both very helpful and nice. And I saved over $900.00 US just on the suit alone. Saved another $100.00 US on the undies. So I guess it's well worth the wait.:D

Raviepoo,
The Bare ATR HD with a Halcyon balanced P valve, Diving Concept dry gloves and rings, Bare Tech Dry hood, and Bare CT 200 undies cost with me with shipping about $1300.00 US. The cheapest place I have seen the ATR HD was LP and they sell the suit alone for $1400.00. I DEFINATLY save mucho bucks.;) :D =-)

Are these dry suits that much in demand that they're making sooo many at once?

They sure take your money fast for them though... I could understand the long wait if you're getting totally custom. The only thing that had to be done on my suit is to shorten the legs.

You would think that they're do extensive neurosurgery and that's why it takes sooooooo long.

The diving industry seems to work at a different pace than the rest of the world. Island time, I think they call it. If the dealer drops the ball and doesn't place your order for a week, and then it takes time to fit it into the schedule at the mfg... You can easily have two or three weeks of wasted time. There just doesn't seem to be any way to light a fire under their collective butts to get the job done any faster. Getting pissed doesn't help, and as I found out, calling the mfg. doesn't help too much, either. Oh well, at least we don't have to get suits that often. Just pray you get a good fit the first time!!
