I went diving yesterday. I don't yet have a fill whip for my T-bottle of Argon, so I've just been using air for the last 5 dives or so. I don't care why, even if it's a placebo effect - but Argon works!!

Anyhow, as I was suiting up, the latex hood on my DS ripped. I use a neoprene hood over it, so I cut the remnants of the latex off and just used that. So I found out that even though it didn't always keep my head totally dry, it made a big difference in the warmth factor.

After 63 minutes in 39F water, between a wet head and no Argon, I was chilled enough to actually pass on a second dive :surprised

Well, Duh....
A dry head in cold water makes a big difference.

D'ont you find dry gloves very fragile??, can't comment on the dry hood only used a normal one, but argons nice'n'cosy!!!
