Those guys also had a bit of a tendency to not come back from a dive now and again, and to go for chamber rides on an almost routine basis. I think I like our way better. :cyborg:

I was just stating that diving has come a long way in the past years. We only have a couple after we finish our last dive and if we drink too much, and it has been known to happen, then we stay put. Neither Ontario Diver :07: or I drink before diving.

Having a drink before you take off your gear might be a little early. I would say right after you've had your rehydrating beverage would be fine.

Some of you guys are soo up tight. Lots of things are not good for the body but do not kill you. I live to enjoy every day to the fullest and to hopefully live several more. And this discussions has nothing to do with driving home after a drink. Thats why you bring a dive buddy along. lol

Perhaps I should have given a more complete response. Please note that I said that one should be sure to drink plenty of H2O to compensate. By "compensate," I was talking about the effects of the alcohol. Sure, go ahead and have a drink. Or two. Or three. Just remember that it is compounding the dehydrating effects of the dive and be sure to pound down plentry of H2O as well. As someone else said, you should be hydrating continually while diving. If you are, go ahead and have a drink.
