I just found out that I might be able to do a last minute dive trip to Cozumel leaving around the 10th. I've been to Cozumel, and normally stay at Alicia's B&B. This trip(if it happens) I'm going to be alone, and thought I might stay in town as it would be more convient as far as getting around.

So what are the inexpensive(less then $300/week) hotels in town or very close to town? I do not need anything fancy. Must be clean, have working A/C. I saw a review on Mi Casa, and would consider them, but would like to know of other options.

Dive ops? What dive ops pick up from the downtown piers? I've used Dive with Martin, and Christi's dive op in the past. I May use DWM if they pick up downtown.

Normally when planning a trip I spend a lot of time searching the board/net but I recently returned to college. I've got a test to study for tomorrow, and then a Sapnish Oral exam on Monday followed by the final on Tuesday. So my time to spend searching for what I want is limited in the next few days.

Try Pepita's on 15th (your Spanish will come in handy). About $30/night. I also like Costa Brava which is a bit further south ("next door" to Punta Lungosta) which is about $40/night. I believe Christi picks up downtown but no doubt there are others.

are both on 3rd across from Aldora pier,

where Blue XTsea and Aldora pick up. Could not be more convienent. I never used a cab the week I stayed there.

Saw THIS Deal on a different website...

As I said in my PM, Casa Mexicana isn't necessarily "cheap" but the free days will offset the costs quite a bit.

Gdog:
Casa Mexicana is hard to beat for the price, and docks right across the street.
And the dive op is hard to beat too :eyebrow:

Hi Greg....I agree with Jeff and others regarding Casa Mexicana....plus that is a great deal that Christi has going....

I have stayed at Pepita it is a basic clean hotel with a good downtown location....

I am not sure if DWM picks up downtown or not...they use to only go as far as Plaza las Glorias (now Palace) you may need to cab it down to their shop....but Christi does pick up at the downtown pier....

have a good trip

The Casa Mexicana deal is this, and applies only to Deluxe City View rooms, not ocean view rooms.
