I am using my Aeris2 as a bottom timer in gauge mode. Sometimes I can download the data after the dive and sometimes I cannot. The dive will show up in the list to be downloaded, and the interface goes through the motion as if it is downloading, but when it finishes I end up with nothing.

The only two times it worked was once when I had done 2 dives in normal mode and then did a third dive in gauge mode. The other time it downloaded it showed up in the log as being from 1/1/2003 (I did the dive last weekend).

Does anyone else use their Aeris2 in gauge mode? Has anyone else had this problem?

To be honest, I'm surprised it ever worked. In gauge mode it is not "normally" recording any data since it is not doing any calculations (i.e., remaining bottom time). I'm diving this weekend and will give it a try and see what it does for me.

I wondered if it would record anything either, but the first time I tried it in the quarry (after doing 2 dives in normal mode) I was able to download all the info. So I figured I could have the best of both worlds - a bottom timer and also a complete log of my dive. The dives show up as being logged, but.....well I already told the story above.

When you download there is a choice for serial number, did you try this?

Yep. I have two Aeris2 computers, so I checked the dives under each serial number to make sure the dives didn't get put under the other number.
