Geddes:
OT question...

Are electronic dive logs generally accepted by the dive industry (re-newbie here)? I would much prefer to keep records electronically, as long as they are accepted when I'm out on vacation.

As long as you have your "C" card, it would probably be OK. I have never been asked for my Dive Log. But I know others who have. Some places want to see at least AOW level.

I would recommend keeping your first log book on paper, the one with the training records and then go electronic after that fills up.

Also you should be able to print it out if need be.

ScubaTexan:
Is that the dive log sheet that Doug Sheppard set up for the Diving Rebels?

I know the paper form is one that I put up on the site when I took over as webmaster. I can't remember where I got the excel spreadsheet logbook, but it could have been one that Doug put on the site.

Yes, very nice. Thank you for sharing. However, it will all depend on how long it takes me to delete the chick in the bikini from the notes area!

Paula - Who thinks diving in a dry suit is much warmer!

Paula,
It's real easy, open the file in Word, go to View > Header and Footer, click on the picture to select it and hit the delete key and it will be gone.

I've modified the sheet some and added a couple things that were not on it and, yes just for you Paula, have removed the mermaid!

Thanks! The dive log page is great. But, hey, there was no chick on the one I downloaded!!

No problem - I saw this thread and was like "Hey!! A bunch of us did all this work not too long ago...hrmmm...now where was that???" :)
