Amstel Bright ???
Close... but my name's not Amstel, or any other beer for that matter.

Anywho... I am convinced, next time I go cave diving I'm bringing me a hang tank so I can do my safety stop! :D

You could hang it from the reaper sign. LOL

OE2X:
So since you don't use it for shore dives, why do you insist to do it on boat dives?

You are at no more, or less risk for an emergency on a shore dive than you are on a boat dive. So your basic gas management plan is the same.

That's just it. It's not a basic requirement, but an extra safty feature. This whole thing started with Pug saying that hanging a tank makes things more dangerous, not us saying you have to have a hang tank. It's just a nice extra safety feature.

1) You are misrepresenting what I said... that is dishonest... unless you are just joking.
2) What you call "just a nice extra safety feature" I call misplaced.

You're right, it's been awhile since I read the original post. You just said you don't allow a hang tank. It must just be a power thing.

Why do discussions here always end up as "my way right, your way wrong"?

Why are the little critters in your avatar whacking one another on the head?
And no... it isn't a *power thing*... it is a policy thing: don't make provision for knuckleheadery.

Well, guides usually are doing the opposite, trying to make provisions in anticipation of their charges making mistakes, so that they will be able to handle the situation.
