Well on Monday I went diving and we tried Turtle Canyons... It was the first time after all the rain and I was shocked. The reef was covered with a layer of silt. On Wed and Thurs the south swells were up and since I don't do too well on a rocking boat, I stayed home. On Friday we went out to TC again and it was like the cleaning ladies were there. Much better, more turtles....much, much better. Guess time and the swells will take care of everything.

i too remember turtle canyons west (near kewalos) being silty.
last time i was there (last autumn) there were a couple of tcs's with the turtles all lined up nice (like in the cartoons) getting worked on by the cleaner fish.
there were also a ton o' eels and... a bunch of boat traffic =/ "duck!"

Imagine how it was last Autumn and then multiply it by 10 or so, that is how it was on Monday...:frown:
