The standard sizes offer a good fit for a very large percentage of divers with some drysuit vendors. I bought my second suit via EE in Florida and after going through the very long measurement process they determined that a standard size would work perfectly. And it does. They didn't charge me extra for that either. Though if I was going to do it again I'd probably have taken one in a color that was in stock at the warehouse instead of having to get one built for me.
