Hi Tobin,

May need to add to my DSS collection again soon, thought I throw you the numbers and see what you think.

Looking at changing up from twin Faber HP100's (-10 full -2 empty each) to a twinset of Worthington HP X7-120's (-11 full -2 empty each).

These will be teamed up with a Long Kydex plate for fresh water, HOG regs, Highland bands and Thermo manifold, and an Alu 6cu Argon suit inflate bottle.

Buoyancy of the drysuit/thermals is 26#

Fairly sure the 49lb wing I have now will cope with this slight increase but what about when I add 2 stage/deco cylinders? 1 x Worthington AL80 and 1 x Worthington AL40.

I know those are considered disposable in case of emergency wing or suit failure but will that 49# wing be able to float me and all that at the surface at the start of the dive?

Thanks as always for your advice!

The basic equation stays the same, Suit buoyancy + weight of back gas + 3 lbs 26 (suit buoyancy) + 20 lbs (back gas) + 3 = 49 Ditchable deco bottles aren't part of the wing calc's

A 49 is on the edge, you may want to consider a larger wing.

Sorry, what's that extra 3lbs?
