I have a set of LP 130's and i've been entertaining the idea of doubling them up just for the heck of it. My friends all tell me I'm crazy that they're just too big and heavy, granted I'm 6'3" and in good shape. Any thoughts? too heavy? or should i do it just to prove my friends wrong haha.

IMHO - the perfect doubles tanks are LP85's, or 104/130's...

LP130's would make great home bank bottles for a local rebreather diver....

they're actually 131's made by faber, but 130 is close enough.

I'm much shorter at 5'8", and I regularly use double 125's for cave diving. They really aren't that much more cumbersome than 108's. The nice thing is the valves will be easier to reach because of the longer tanks.

How about Double LP 108's?...

How about Double LP 108's?...

For all practical intents and purposes, LP108's fall into the same as 104/130's to me...

Perfect cave diving tanks...
