Also,
NEVER get involved in collecting vintage gear. That stuff will reproduce worse than rabbits (ten times worse than tanks) and has ruined many marriages I’m sure.

Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. You have take them in for annual checkups, you worry about their health and how they look when they go out, you worry if the older ones are getting enough attention after the new ones come along, and then you can't say goodbye to them even when they are all grown up and ready to leave the house.
