Doing DM & Instructors on the cheap and job prospects

Hi everyone,

I was just after some advice on where everyone thinks is the best and the cheapest in SE Asia to do the above courses. I have considered Puerto Galera in Philipines but not sure on accomadation prices there and you have to rememeber that I would be there for a while so I'll need ultra cheap accomadation. I have also considered Thailand, but not sure about that. Indonesia and Malaysia are other options, But when I get there about, November the monsoons will be starting. So what has everyone else experienced???
Also what about job prospects in the region, particualry in Australia??

Whereever you do it, it is not going to be cheap. Excluding educational materials, IE Fees and OWSI application Fees, prices here in Phuket are about 1000 US$. The problem with the IDC's is the quality. A lot of IDC's prepare you for the IE, where I think they should be preparing you for your life as an Instructor.
If I were you: don't pay too much attention to the price, it is much more important that you get a proper IDC.
