"Does my buttt look big in this BC?". Those were the words
I recently overheard while diving Ginnie Springs from a female
diver. I wanted to walk up to her and tell her that it is probably
more important to be concerned that her gear is working
properly then the size of her rear. Just wondering if anyone
wanted to put their 0.02 in.

well did her butt look big?

What would the BC have to do with her butt looking big?

If it looked big or not was not really my point. I guess
I did not realize that some women are SO fixated on things like
that. Vanity or virtue? Virtue SHOULD win. Anyways, but
to answer your question....no.

see this thread. http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=141463&highlight=butt+look+big

I know my fins make my feet look big but now I have to worry if my BC makes my butt look big? Do you think if I strategically hang colorful items from the D rings on my BC it will draw the eye away from my butt and give the illusion of a more streamlined siloette? And I was just worried about what color nailpolish to use.

Hmmm. Not to be a smart arse but maybe she already checked out her gear?
Maybe she did but based on what the other members with her
were doing (checking gear), I don't know.

Surelyshirly, if I see her again I will let her know about the fins...:)

Apparently, she's already put more than $.02 in, so I'll leave it at that. And yes, many women are incredibly vain when it comes to dive gear. More worried about color than function. Try not to let it bother you. It's the way the world works.

Borg women dress only in black. Cut's down on issues. Thus, they are more attractive. You should have told her that twin 104s would make her butt look really tiny!
