I've been a couple times, just this last August was the last time. There is a really deep trench I like to dive about 7 miles to the north, its pretty incredible. The abalone are big up there. A guy came through camp showing off his 11 & 1/4 incher!! Its definately boat or kayak territory, shore access is limited.

The Shelter Cove/Bear Harbor area has some fair diving and there are abs for the taking. The water can be tricky since it is exposed and can be real murky, even worse than Trinidad on some days.
