I'm getting back into diving after a long absence. I just ordered a dry suit and I'm considering getting dry gloves. I just want to know how common they are.

Do you use dry gloves with your dry suit?

I almost never use the liners though. I find that down to about 50 degrees the gloves are enough. Below that I use a single thin liner.

What brand do you use? Have tried any others?

I currently have DUI's on my 200CF and 350 and a set from Northern Exposer on my USIA.

The LDS that sold me my DUI suit recommended the Diving Concepts dry glove system. I didn't really get a good answer as to why he recommended DC's over the DUI. He sells both so I wonder which works better. Any ideas?

I have never used one but I believe there are some advantages to the Diving Concepts system. The main seems to be the ability to remove and install the glove as you suit up. I would ask those that use that glove system to help here.

The DUI system is best left in place unless you changing gloves or switching to wrist seals. Both can be used at the same time just not real practical nor valuable.

I got to sign off for a little bit I'll Check back later!

Thanks for your help. I do want to be able to remove my gloves easily. I also want to keep the wrist seals on the suit in case I lose a glove under water. Maybe the DC gloves ARE the way to go.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the link. I've actually read everything I could find on this board regarding the DC gloves. But, I don't recall anybody comparing DUI to DC or any other brands. It sounds like most people like the DC gloves but I want the best system. I wish I could find somebody that has tried several different brands.

Just list what you want out of your glove system and look for the one that offers the closest match. Just be careful with having to many options. The more a system does the higher the possible failure rate. sometimes Simple is best.

I have been very pleased with the DUI system and Most seem very pleased with the Diving Concepts system once they get it assembled.

I don't think you will be at a loss which ever way you go.
