Do you test your nitrox?

I dont use it that regulary but i check before every dive. My air fills (90% of my diving as its 1/3 the price of nitrox) come off the same fill bank in shops as nitrox so i make sure ive actually GOT air not nitrox.

I have to test it, mark the tank and sign the log book before leaving the shop. I wouldn't get a fill from a shop that didn't do this.

Besides, it's your responsibility to analyze the mix and make sure it's the mix you want. The log book, etc is just a liability reducing measure. There's no law that says we have to analyze. Most shops that don't require the log book know their customers will be diving responsibly. And if they don't, well it's not their problem really. What does it matter anyway? Signing a logbook doesn't mean anything. If the diver wants to take 32% to 150 feet, then the diver will do that. The only way to prevent that is if the person who did the fill goes on the diver with the person who received it.

The very first minute your nitrox card is minted, you have to buy your own annyliser.
If you trust the one at the fill station that gets dropped twice a day, calibrated by idiots, operated by the shop owners stoned son, you are rolling the dice.
True story I am on dive vacation sunny florida, shop does partial pressure blending, I get my tanks filled, he asks do you want me to annylise that? I say no, I have my own. He replys good! ours is on the fritz, you have to bang it to get it to work right.
I then watched 5 people get fills, bang the annyliser, sign the log, and go diving.

If you are expecting air, and you get nitrox 36 then you've got a risk of CNS if you dive deep.

I don't think it's unheard of for shops to get tanks mixed up, especially if they're filling air and nitrox together for different customers, and they don't stick to labelled tanks for each.

I test mine for that reason. Same whip does air and nitrox in every dive shop i know here. IF there are 40 or so tanks to fill and they're busy although rare its not impossible for a mistake to happen.

I analyze air tanks if I get them filled at a shop that does nitrox fills. If the shop doesn't do anything but air, I don't analyze them.
