I have four sisters and one brother (Sis-Me-Sis-Sis-Sis-Bro), so pretty much, I've always been solo. I do lots of solo things (including driving to every state in the US except Hawaii).
That said, I'm also a completely hopeless romantic, and spending time with my significant buddy is my favorite thing in the world (41 days until I fly to Japan to visit her!). Of course, she is every bit as solo as I am (or perhaps even more). Go figure, we're a pair of mutually solo people, which is convenient when she goes to Japan for a while to teach English or when I get in the car and drive to the Arctic Ocean to go swimming (oh, if only I'd already been a diver).
Being solo explains why I find relatively small groups quite draining while I can be at an air show or football game and enjoy it thoroughly, eh? (Assuming LSU or the Packers are winning, of course... otherwise it's not so happy.) I suppose being a ham is also rather solo, eh, regardless of the size of the group for which one is hamming it up? (I was the single fan cheering in Tiger Stadium during one LSU game a few years back in which we were *soundly* trounced... figured that I'd paid to go, so I may as well cheer while I was there, even if I had to cheer for very obscure and immensely minute accomplishments.)
