Hey all,
What is a decent alternative to Shearwater computers for OC Trimix?
CCR capable would be nice, but not a must have.
150 meters capable

OSTC (HW), Ratio, Garmin, and even SP (go for G2 HUD for native ZHL instead of the wierd proprietary one on G2/3) can cover OC needs, and CCR w/o monitoring (preset setpoints)

AV1 with fisher can monitor CCR cells

Halcyon will eventually (at least as per the whitepaper) have ppo2 pods that you can use on non H rebreathers — just like a tank pressure transmitter

Nothing can deal with solenoid control or CAN bus as of now

Halcyon Symbiosis is rated to 120m
Oops didn’t check depth ratings

Divesoft Freedom+, Poseidon M25 (not sure it actually does stand alone) as well, but Garmin is probably the second biggest player in that field. If I were switching from shearwater, Garmin is where I would go.

Assuming for CCR you are referring to a stand alone and not a wired monitor or controller.

The answer is mostly no. There is a reason Shearwater is sort of the gold standard although I would love more competition in this field.

In addition to the other players already mentioned (OSTC, Garmin, ScubaPro, Ratio) I would add Divesoft Freedom to the list.

I think Halcyon/Oxygen Scientific computer is intriguing but too new and not enough data. I'm personally waiting for the PPO2 pods to be officially available.

Juergensen Marine also has their new Tigershark electronics/computer available but honestly there are not that many of these in the wild.

Ratio iX3M2 and IDive Color series have a max depth rating of 220 meters (721 feet)

Ratio is best!

Halcyon Symbiosis is rated to 120m $1195
Perdix - 2 is rated to 260m $1165
You asked for alternatives. I'm personally sticking with Shearwater.
I believe there are people pushing the Halcyon past rated but I can't find that information presently.
