Steam pressure on a nuclear submarine is far below that of a scuba tank.

Never stated the steam pressure was equal to a scuba tank. As jlnuke pointed out there are other systems on nuke subs beside steam. However some pressures on some reactor systems are/were classified, and since I no longer know which are or aren't, I'll not discuss that further.

Regarding the serious injury from small steam leaks statement.
I am only repeating what active duty (at the time) sub sailors told me when I was working in the shipyard.
If you know better from your experience, I'm not going to dispute it, sailors do tell sea stories after all.

You know the difference between a fairy tale and a sea story, don't you??

A fairy tale starts out "Once upon a time..."

A sea story begins "This is a no-$hitter, guys!!"
