Nielsen stainless still latch locks are the best for submersible devices used by recreational divers. I used to buy them for my DIY light canisters. Too bad they cost $8 each. Therefore I had to finally come up with simple and cheap replacement. Bungees from hardware store were working well on a test dive (in pressure chamber) to 300' today. The unit on pictures is a prototype for my next project - 55W HMI primary or video light. At least for the lab canister pressure test bungee locking worked. I know that nylon sheath will deteriorate under UV radiation, and it might be tricky to make each loop length the same but it works.

Very good. A cheap second hand router might be good one day and perhaps using your hammer with your left hand. Thanks.
