Good morning
Here is where we live. The map might be a little deceiving though since the nearest freeway is a 1½ hour trek through mountains and forrest. We expect 2 hours to see most of our doctors (or a Costco) and 3 hours to UCSF or Stanford for high-end specialists. We go to Monterey often enough that we could arrange a appointment along the way. Does that help?

Sending you an email.

HI, All.
I'm not sure if anyone is still following these threads, however I was looking for feedback on diving Post Stem Cell Transplant. I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in January 2018 and went through chemo and ultimately a Autologous Stem Cell Transplant at the end of September. I'm now about 6 months post successful transplant. I'm a Divemaster and EMT and have approximately 1000 dives. I've researched pretty extensively and can't find any contraindications for diving after a transplant. My oncologist, although not a diver, has not given any restrictions on diving. I am planning to head to Roatan end of May for a 10 day dive trip. Any feedback would be appreciated. Also planning to contact DAN as well.
Thanks, JakeK

Congrats on your journey so far Jake. Are you still taking Relimid or similar to keep the MM at bay, or are you in remission from the SCT? (My Mom has MM - it’s a bitch of cancer most people have never heard of!)

Since this thread has reopened, @drbill have you been diving?

Jake,

How's your strength and stamina? What do your white counts look like? Has your oncologist cleared you for full physical activity?

Best regards,
DDM
