Val, I don’t know how I missed saying—another terrific video! We’re booked for the Philippines in April—Tubbataha, Dumaguette and Anilao, so a good number of internal flights. Having some idea of what you haul along with you—were you flying Cebu Pacific? I assume you were charged for excess? Did you have any problems in that vein?
We were flying Philippine Airlines. We bought Comfort Economy tickets, which I believe have higher baggage allowance, plus we paid some extra for excess. Comfort Economy gives you an access to their lounge, which was fairly good. It was a good experience with Philippine Airlines: from booking to check-in, lounge and flight. We will go to the Atmosphere resort in January again, and then to Buceo Anilao at the end of April for three weeks and then to Romblon for three weeks. Where will you stay in Anilao and when?

Seven weeks-what a treat! That’ll be an epic video. We’re booked on an April sailing of the Philippine Siren, then to Atmosphere, followed by Aiyanar in Anilao. The Puerto Princesa-Cebu-Dumaguete leg didn’t work on Philippine Airways (everything went back through MNL), so we’re on Cebu Pacific for those flights, and on PHL Airways returning to Manila. Cebu was/is offering excess weight for a nominal charge, so I took care of that on the front end. The Philippine government seems to be working hard to protect Tubbataha; I’m looking forward to seeing how the project is faring, and also excited about Dauin and Apo (and Anilao, of course).

You have many good trips planned ahead! I would love to hear about Tubbataha. My trip was canceled due to Covid, and I've never get back to arranging a new one.
