Dive watches are cool and I keep working on my collection. Here's my latest. It's a Cold War era Vostok.

Please give my regards to Capt. Zissou and the crew of the Belafonte.

Well spotted, yes it is misty ,has been for a long time, despite that it still works. I should have it serviced but I know I will not do so. At my age I don't buy hard avocados or green bananas . Someone else's problem when I pass, if they care. There is no shortage of watches here that will see me out.

I hope whoever gets the Rolex takes care of it. They're special watches to begin with and one that's inherited - even more so.

As an aside, my wife and I were driving into work together a few weeks ago and passed a building in downtown Dallas with the Rolex logo on the side. Turns out that's the North American official Rolex service center (or at least, one of them). Had no idea it was there.

As an aside, my wife and I were driving into work together a few weeks ago and passed a building in downtown Dallas with the Rolex logo on the side. Turns out that's the North American official Rolex service center (or at least, one of them). Had no idea it was there.

There is another guy in North Dallas - Kevin - his small shop also serves as a Rolex factory authorized service center. Was also Omega and Rado. I've used his services since the last century.

Seiko Orange Monster, with a NATO band, been my every day watch now for a couple of years. Funny thing is, I've had more total strangers admire or comment on this watch then I ever did with my Rolex sub that I wore for 30 years or more!
