I hear you on that! My own progression has been 2x800, 2x2600, 2x7600 and I am now looking to upgrade to the 2x15000 range. Of course, the tech is much better now and prices have come down dramatically. All part of the the fun, I guess.
What about airline rules for travelling with large lithium-ion-batteries, even with my 2600 kit I had to prove that it was below the limit.
