Diving this Saturday morning????

Still debating whether to cancel my dive trip this Sat. AM in Jupiter. What are most of the boats in WPB/Jupiter doing?

My biggest concern is HORRIBLE viz after big waves on Friday.

Don't know 'bout Jupiter, but my Panama City trip is looking mighty iffy (again). The weather gods have sure been conspiring this summer to keep me out of the Gulf. :06:

We have our last 2 checkout dives scheduled for this weekend. I think we will be ok at Vortex Springs on Saturday, but Sunday's boat dive in the Gulf is doubtful at best. It sux too since we had to postpone our training due to Dennis, and now that we are almost done, we have Katrina to deal with.

Decided to play it safe and just cancelled.... now if anyone goes out on Saturday, no running back to this thread and bragging about how good the diving was...

You can always come up to Blue Grotto Saturday with us.

Unless of course the storm makes a drastic course change from whats predicted.

I don't think I'm going to go very far this weekend. It might a good weekend to do some classroom work with FLDiveJunkie & spousal unit...

I don't think you'll miss much. There will be a LOT of water coming out of the canals and Lake O and the viz will likely be pretty bad.

That might be an idea. I'll talk to the "spousal unit" tonight when he gets home from work.

We were cancelled on Tuesday afternoon :sad:. Though, ya know the viz would stink even if the seas decided to flatten out. Braille diving is not my preferred method.

I agree with EANDIVER. Ya'll should come to Blue Grotto saturday morning and hang out with us. It's gonna be fun. Vis wont be a problem either.
