Diving / snorkeling in Bali with kids - suggestions please

Luko mentioned Amed in Bali, you should really look into that...yes the beach wont be "paradise perfect" but heck all your 3yr old cares about is that mom and dad are around and there is sand to eat! ha ha

Hi Mitch, thanks for your suggestions. Luko also mentioned Gili islands, which is only a 45min boat ride from Amed. So I'm now thinking 1 week in Amed and 1 in Gili islands may not be a bad option.
I think tioman is even more difficult to get to from Bkk than Redang/ Perhentians. When we went to Perhentians we travelled via Narathiwat airport, which wasn't too bad but wouldn't want to risk taking the kids through that part of Thailand so would via KL if we go again.
Getting to Bali is actually more straightforward; even than koh Lipe!
