It will be definitely one dive at Pt. Dume or Deer Creek. Will decide later on today. I'm planning to be at the site by 8:30 - 8:45 am. I will drive convertable MB SL450 '74 tomorrow.

Please be aware that the Pt. Dume pinnacles is an Advanced site with sometimes stong currents changing directions at the bottom (Site Description). The Deer Creek is quite more relax diving with plenty of critters (depth 15-40').

If you want to dive Saturday, Check you personal physical conditioning. The Point Dume Pinnacles is a swim of 548 yards there, and then another 548 yards, normally AGAINST the current, on the way back. :11: If you cannot make it back, the cliffs are shear and the bail out point is a small beach around the point. Then you get to climb the hill, all 203 feet of it! The currents here can be strong making this an advance dive.

Your dive profile of under 25 dives would argue against you doing this dive at this time.

Take a carefull look at the dive site at http://www.sandeaters.org/sites/pd.htm Please note the bail out beach is behind the hill in the photo.

Agree 100%, therefore if someone fills uncomfortable at Pt. Dume we can go to Deer Creek. Nobody should go over the personal comfort level, but we have to decide today.

Pasley,

I consider myself a great swimmer. However, I think that I need more dives and to dive more frequently before attempting this dive.

Thanks for the advice!
Thomas
