Had a nice day for diving Sat. with NADE in MA as the seas laid down and allowed us to get out to a "Schooner Wreck". The weather cooperated for the hour or so steam to the site. Unfortunately, the fine topside conditions did not follow us to the bottom. Capt. Dave reported after returning from the tie in that the conditions were "sketchy" with poor vis and loads of ghost lines suspended two to four feet above and around the wreck. At the "great" news my partner and I decide to cut our BT down to 15 from 20 for a RT of 38. Not worth a lengthy hang for a braile dive. Once on the bottom we found arms lenght plus vis (very turbid) and as warned - lots of abandoned trawl (lobster) lines decorating the site. This was a large wooden schooner, which under better vis conditions will be very interesting to explore. It was still good to get in the water, and as usual, it was a lot of fun to be out with Capt.'s Dave and Heather.

Merry Christmas,
Dennis
