I was wondering if anyone can update me on conditions and average vis. I am diving aboard the Lois Ann in the afternoon or Friday 3/3. I believe we are going to the Ancient Sea Cliffs.

Thanks!

I was out that way on Sunday visibility at depth was a nice 20-25ft, maybe better. COLD! 50 at the bottom. If the rain hasn't mucked everything up, it should be a nice dive. Have you checked the swell model? Not looking promising last I checked.

Have a great dive.

Terry

Here is the NOAA prediction for friday:

San Diego County Coastal Areas- 200 Pm Pst Wed Mar 1 2006
...high Surf Conditions Possible Friday Afternoon Through Saturday...
...Outlook For Friday...4 To 5 Feet Building To 5 To 8 Feet In The Afternoon. Highest Surf South Of La Jolla.

Could be a little ugly. Maybe you can talk them into Los Coronados?

Thanks for the report! Yeah, I have been checking out the model and it is getting a bit high. I will dive 6' swells, but over that and I call it. I am just hoping they go out period. This will be my second attempted dive opportunity to San Diego. The first one, I had ear trouble.

Thanks Terry. We'll just have to see what happens. 20+ vis for me is huge. I am used to 5-10' along the North Coast.
