I'm planning on heading up to BC this summer to get some fishing in, and the boat we're staying on has a compressor on board, so I'm hoping to get some diving in as well. The plan is to be anchored near Cultus Sound, as far as I know, but I'm not familiar with our exact itinerary.

Any ideas on where to try? We'd have our boat with us, so can travel a little bit.

Thanks!

Head on up to Butedale and dive the wreck of the Transpac. It is an amazing wreck that sits vertical on a ledge with the bow at 100ft and the stern at almost 300ft.

Close to Shearwater is a place called cod fish narrows dive on slack you will have a memorable dive....ask locals and they will point the way.

Ooops...if they say its too far....at the mouth of Seaforth Channel is a reef called Porter Reef on and around in large chunks is what remains of the SS NORTH SEA a 3,000 ton steamship ran up on the reef in 1947...the reef is well worth diving and it is a stones throw from Shearwater. I could tell you a lot more but your fishing.
