Yep, I'm talking about LNQ. We are out there all the time if you ever need a buddy. I don't blame you guys for limiting access to the lodge. I'll talk to Bill this weekend and see what he says. We'd like to dive it this year, but if Bill wants to see me more on the boat and get more comfortable with us in the deep stuff that's fine, too.

Well, when you dive the lodge, I'll do my best to be there - with food in hand. My schedule (now that my newest grandchild has been recently born) is pretty clear on the weekends. Let me know!!! And BE SAFE! As much as I want reports and video of the lodge, I don't want anyone to take any unnecessary risk.

Did someone say fried chicken?:D Just wanted to chime in as I'll be diving w/ Battles this weekend. There are 3 of us that are planning on hitting the lodge this year(hopefully). It would be neat for us to get a chance to meet you & learn more about the history down there.

Just tell me when and where. If I can be there, I'll come with scrapbooks in hand. I love to talk about Jocassee Valley. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to experience that wonderful place before it was lost forever.

Lodge dive = fried chicken . . . keep that equation in your mind, finish your trimix certs and book a charter with Bill. Looking forward to meeting all you guys :D

thanx...we went Sat. 11/8...upper 60s at surface...40-60' was 62-ish, but at 100' warmed up a couple of degrees...guess it's turning over...

Was out there this weekend. Still a stiff thermocline at 100ft where we were (Wall) and stayed around 50 degress all the way down to 250. Bill says it should start to turn mid December. What part of the lake were you diving?

Yep, we need to do some more leg work, but tentativlely planning on the weekend after turkey day (Dec 6/7). I think he may have wanted to do it a little sooner, but that's the first time our group can do it. Hopefully we can put something together. We want to do it before the lake turns over or else deco will be brutally cold.

yeah, that's pushing it a little for temps. I can pretty much guarantee I won't join you on the line, unless the weather is unseasonably warm. I'll keep that weekend free, just in case. ;)
