LOL.
I came to Thailand for diving(first time was nearly 30yrs ago) or travelling. And I do know something about the diving in the Thailand ie. not that many to choose from. PERIOD.
Kho Lanta and Koh Lipe are the only places that I will spend money and time. Diving out from Phuket is only for holiday makers who want to do a ibt diving on the trip.
@JonnieB has said it many times previously that he/she prefers a small locally runs operator BUT he/she will suggest Rumblefish which is owned by Vietnamese and a PADI 5 stars operator!!!! Small and locally owned!!!! Certainly NOT.

I was actually considering going in November, but I decided against it because, well, the Philippines has some rather fancy wrecks, and you know how it is, you see a coral-encrusted ship and suddenly all other decisions seem trivial.
The wrecks in Coron are good especially for the inexperienced wreck(rec or tec wreck) diver. The penetration in the prop shaft in Olympia Maru is interesting for them because of relatively shallow depth. But the one in Irako is something else ie. 40m+.
I had done both of them on several occasions without guide, just my buddy and myself.
As I had said it before there are some WWII deep wrecks off the both coast of Malaysian Peninsular. Unfortunately most of them had been illegal salvaged by conme chinese.
