This is a recommendation for anyone who likes to dive in egypt but does not want to go to the crowded places. In october we ( a group of 3) have been on a diving trip in Safaga Egypt.
We did Sharm, El Gouna, Dahab and Hurghada already so we wanted something new. Safaga itself is`t much of a city but the diving is superb. Before we left I got a recomendation to go to a diving center called Seafari Safaga. Through internet I contacted them and booked a 10 day diving trip.
The whole diving experience in total, the boat ( 30 mtrs long, 3 decks!!), the staff of the centre, the crew on the boat, the food, the equipment, safety, briefings and of course the divesites we went to........GREAT! The sites in Safaga are less crowded and the variety of fish and intact coral is really superb. With Seafari we dove at all the nice dive sites and we did not stay in the bay or go to the nearby divesites. Diving with Seafari esspecially is great because they love diving themselves and they really want to show you the best places. We will really return to Safaga and of course go diving again with Seafari. If you need a dive centre in Safaga go for Seafari or ask for Jonathan & Brigitte. These are the owners of the centre. Jonathan is an instructor (padi, cmas;ssi) and always on the boat. Brigitte handles the organisation of the centre. The two of them are so friendly and helpfull you can`t imagine.
So far with them we had the best price/quality package and to be honest the whole dive package with them was beyond expectations. For further info check www.seafari-safaga.com
Cheers and happy diving...
