Diving in RI anyone?

I'll be spending the next week (Aug 7 -> 11) in Matunuck, RI. Anyone interested in diving in RI? I have yet to dive anywhere in RI......only experience is cape ann thus far. Did I read somewhere there was a good spot in Westerly?

Hey there get over to the O.S.S. for their 10 am fun dive in Jamestown RI every Sat. and Sun. call them first at 9am then its about 30-45 mins from Matunuck.

These are great people and they have shown me all around the Jamestown Dive Sites. If it wasnt for this dive shope I'de know only half the spots I know now if even that.

My buddy bailed on me last minute for Jamestown. So I think I will try and call OSS also...this looks like a great idea. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks Scubasarus......unfortunately missed my opportunity this morning as my babysitter was not avail. I did call....nothing midweek....damn....

I don't think I'll survive this entire week w/out diving....I need to escape my 7 and 2 yr old....arrrggghhh :11:

Vis was really not very good in Jamestown. I am having some of the worst luck as of late. Everyone at OSS was very nice though

I always wanted to try spearing bass or tautog there. If anyone from MA spears and wouldn’t mind showing me the works, I'd be very grateful and would even drive them to RI and back. I could rent a spear gun from my LDS.

Ahhhhh.....one step ahead of you there....already called. 5pm on Wed! Hopefully I can make that! Planning on being there.
