Has anyone dove Lake Mitchell? Cousin says it's about 30-60 feet deep in places, and there are fish--every year they hold a fishing tournament. Wondered about viz, shore access and such. Thanks !

Never dove it but drove by it several times and have flown over it a few times.
Viz will be typical prairie pothole viz with 0' to 5' and maybe if the wind has not blown in a week and the boat wakes have not stirred up the banks you might get 10'.

I have never heard of it referred to as a dive site other than perhaps for ice diving as the viz would improve greatly once it freezes over.

For divers in that area, Lke Okaboji in IA or the Oahe reservoir near Pierre SD or Pickstown SD would be the preferred dive spots.

Donavans Scuba Center in Sioux Falls could give you the for sure information. Bill is a great guy and would be happy to provide you with the information.
