We are considering heading to Los Cabos for diving in late Aug. Wondering about surface conditions, currents, water temp, etc. I'm fairly new to diving, my partner has been diving for a few years (and he's fearless). Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Divers. Should be great Water temp.s Are already in the mid 70s.Summer time is the best vis. 75 to 100 feet.Air Temp will be hot in the 90s.This time of year the surface will be calm. There are 800 species of tropical fish in the Sea of Cortez so bring a Camara.
When diving Cabo I Dive with Baja Dive. I like there Big Boat 40 foot.It has a full hard top for lots of shade this is a must in Summer. They have all safty gear and all Instructors and dive masters speak great English.

Thanks Sue.....calm waters sound great, I just learned to swim 3 years ago, so I'm not a big fan of anything other than calm waters - I can do it, just prefer not to until I get more experience! Any recommendations on hotels? We are looking at Presidente and a couple of others, just concerned about how to get to the dive operators. Thanks for all your feedback - we really appreciate it!
