Greetings
I will be in Ireland the first week in November in the Killarney area. Can anyone recommend dive shops and sites in the southwest area of Ireland. Also, what will be the water conditions in November? I'm mostly a Caribbean diver:14: , but I have done some drysuit diving off the coast of Maine so I don't mind cold water. :ice: Appreciate any info on diving in Ireland.

Take a look at this

What equipment will you have with you? Drysuit/wetsuit?
Rental of these would be hard to get that time of year.
If you have the basics + reg + computer, it would be possible to obtain the rest from club members.
Some of us dive year-round anywhere weather permits.
Good choice of sites if weather okay.

Hey, thanks for the info and links. I was hoping to rent all my gear except for reg and computer. I would like to use a wetsuit if the water conditions permit. Also, the Skelligs look like a good place to go diving. Any dive shops on the islands?
Joe

As said, no rental available that time of year. No dive shops on the Skelligs, no inhabitants as they are large rocks with a Gannet colony on the smaller of the two.
Good diving there, but weather is not dependable in November.

Suggest you try

for second opinion as to diving in that area.

Alternative diving may be found in Dingle, where there just might be rental equipment, if they're open. No web address, sorry. Check:

The Dingle site is out of date.

Thanks for the reply. The killarneytown link was very helpful and I have sent out a few emails to get some additional information.

Thanks for the help. I've been in touch with Waterworld and they go diving every day, weather permitting. They also rent gear. So, it looks like I'll be diving in Ireland very soon :) Cheers!!
