Diving in Cancun

My husband and I frequently dive in Cozumel, but are about to make our first trip to Cancun. We are staying at the Yalmaka'an, which I understand is down the beach, away from the worst of the strip. We will be there 8 days and would like to dive 4 or 5 of them. Has anyone had a good or bad experience in Cancun, recommend a diveshop to work with. We are very experienced divers, use Nitrox and computers, do not want a cattleboat or to dive with snorklers. Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Divinduo,

We dove in Cancun in Dec., and had a very good time. We dove with Solo Buceo, but heard a lot of good things about Scuba Cancun. There are a couple posts on this travel board about Cancun diving. Just hit the "view all posts" function and scroll down. Enjoy your trip!

I will be heading to cancun on the 21st of January. I have 9 dives lined up, plus 4 in cozumel. I will let you know how it goes and give recommendations when I return the end of the month.
